The latest season of the Three Stars Inc. charity flag football league – Score for the Future – is just about to wrap up. After much discussion over what organization would best benefit from the thousands raised by our gridiron titans, we looked at the calendar and realized what time of year it is.
It’s back to school time!
Everyone quickly agreed that the best outlet for the charity chest is back to school supplies for local children. As the many parents who work for Three Stars will tell you, education is the most important factor in their child’s life. They want the best education for their kids to prepare them for the future. These same parents will also tell you that school supplies are expensive! And the cost seems to go up every year.
Three Stars will be buying and collecting supplies for a local Orlando neighborhood who really need the help to give their kids the support to get a great education. The details are still being hammered out, but we do have preliminary dates and times (all subject to change, of course).
The championship game will be held Friday, August 14th, in the afternoon. We will be serving a Barbecue lunch for the employees and the local neighborhood. At the event, children will be able to pick up the school supplies they need from the supplies we’ve collected.
Like we said, this is all very preliminary. The location of the game, the time, and the neighborhood we’ll be partnering with are all still being ironed out. Check back for further details.
For the second straight year, Three Stars employees and their guests are invited to a summer luau. Fun, sun, tiki torches – the summer shindig will have it all. If you missed last year’s event, it was a blast. In fact, we have some video footage of the event to share with you:

A group of employees have formed a committee dedicated to improving the environmental footprint of the company. Calling themselves the “Green Team”, their mission is to raise awareness about our rapidly changing environment among the company, through the staff and then out into the community.
They’ve met a few times to brainstorm ideas on how the company can improve its environmental habits, as well as come up with a few tips for employess to do at home. They’ll be out in the community soon, performing chores meant to heal the planet and inspire the community to do the same.
The Career College Association (CCA) annual convention and expo will be held right here in Orlando at the World Marriot Center, and Three Stars Inc. will be on hand to meet and greet the attendees from the country’s best colleges. We’ll be in booth 241 at the expo to discuss potential strategies and campaigns with attendees designed to raise awareness of available online degree programs.
The convention will be June 14th through the 16th.
That’s right, this upcoming weekend is Memorial Day, which means three days off for fun in the sun. If it wasn’t for all this rain, that is. You can head to the beach (if you like the beach when it rains), you can lie by the pool (in the short breaks between rain), you can sit indoors and count the rain drops since it’s going to be raining most days. Whatever you want to do, the time is yours. Sure, the trough of rain hanging over our heads isn’t ideal, but it’s three days you don’t have to be at Three Stars – and you can relax, which is what it’s all about anyway.
